When I woke up New Year's Eve. I knew the plan was to have a picnic on the beach and watch fireworks. We made plans with Helen, Sean, and the kids to celebrate together. I could not get in the mood. It did not seem like New Year's Eve! It was in the 80's and sunny. A beautiful day and a picnic??? Well, I needed to shift my thinking and plan my food. I did not think my Mom's cabbage rolls (Wynne family tradition for New Year's) were going to hit the spot. So I just decided it was the Fourth of New Years. It definately felt alot more like the Fourth of July. Even the kids seemed to get a bit more in the mood of things after we started saying "Happy Fourth of New Year!" So we headed to the beach about 7:30. The kids played and had a great time. John and the boys were playing rugby. Helen and Sean did not end up getting to come. Helen was not feeling well. She got dehydrated on the hike at the rainforest and it made her pretty sick. She even ended up at ER that night. She is just fine now! Drink your water!!!!!

The girls celebrated by writing 2007-2008 on thier arms with lipstick!

The crowd is small in this photo but it got very very crowded prior to the fireworks.

The fireworks were shot over the lighthouse.
