The tide is coming in. But you can problably tell this is a hole in a bed of rock that will with ocean water. There has been concrete walls added to create sides. It is very clear and you can see the marine life below. The day is a bit cloudy so the pictures are a bit dark.
Friday evening we went to our church. There was a mass and BBQ to celebrate the feast day of St. Francis Xavier. The mass was performed by the bishop. After mass Fr. Ron introduced us to the Bishop as the Americans. I had to come to Australia to meet a bishop--besides confirmation, of course. The bbq afterward was nice. Just meat sandwiches (not sure what kind of meat--I thought beef but there was discussion of pork, lamb even goat???) on a french bread roll wrapped in paper. There were people walking around with trays of them. The drinks were red or white wine or bottled beer. There was juice for the kids. No table everyone just walked around and talked. It was great because the kids were off and running with children as soon as we got there. OH!! There was a flock, maybe 50, green with red parrots, in the trees. This was exciting to us but common place to every one else.
